They made it to the Super Bowl of Washington State High School football. The Gridiron Classic at the Tacoma Dome. They were matched up against last year's semi-final opponent Skyline, who has won the last two state titles and was looking for the three-peat. It was a great game, but we were simply outmatched. The boys left everything out on the field and even though they probably can't realize it yet, they should be very proud of how far they came.
There's never the smiles for the team picture at the end of the game when you come in second...
but they'll look back at this game for the rest of their lives and know they did the best they could against a great team.
I am so proud to be to be part of a group of such amazing people. The coaches & their families, the players & their families....it's great to be a Saxon!!!
