Start of Summer

After finally getting through making up all the snow days from last December, Grady is finally done with the '08-'09 school year! With his new role as Defensive Coordinator at Ferris HS, our summers won't be so bombarded with football, so that will be a welcome break.
The kids will only go to daycare 4 days a week throughout the summer, so it will nice to get some extra time with them, too!!
I'm doing well...business is picking back up a bit, so that is nice. The newest and craziest thing that is up with me is, that I've started "running"!! YIKES!! I have it in quotations, because I'm not quite sure it's up to running standards yet, it's more of a steady jog...but it's more than I've ever been able to do before. Why in the hell is she doing this, you ask?? I've asked myself the same question, but my good friend Angela asked if I wanted to do a 5K with her in September in Sandpoint, ID. I reluctantly agreed, knowing what it would entail. I am on week 2 and have only missed 3 days in 12 since I started, so I'm pretty proud of myself. I don't think I'll ever say that I "like" running, but I am glad I'm doing it. If for nothing else than to just get out and get some exercise, but if it would help shed a few lbs. that wouldn't hurt my feelings.
We spent a wonderful Father's Day weekend down in Kennewick visiting Grady's family and attending the wedding of a good friend of theirs. It was a mini-high school/college reunion and we had a wonderful time!!
Father's Day was special, getting to see my Father-in-law, two brothers-in-law & families, my step-dad and step-brother & his fiance' who is expecting (visiting from Portland) all in the same day. If only I would have been able to see my Dad, the day would have been complete.
I have the best family...husband, kids, parents (all of them) and extended family that a girl could ask for. I am so blessed to have so many wonderful people in my life.

That's the latest!!
