It was part of the Valleyfest weekend and benefited the food banks in our area. My girlfriends, Angie and Licia and I all did it together. I should say...Licia and I did it together, since Angie does a 5k length almost daily and she "won" the race. Way to go, Ang!
They also hosted a 50 yard dash for the kids...which Talia and Toby really enjoyed. I have video below that Grady taped, which is quite comical if you ask me (not the hurt kids, of course!) The kids were running and then two tripped over each other, so that's why Grady's video skills are a little off. :) He was trying to make sure the kids that fell were ok. You can hear the cries at the end. :( We did suggest next year they do it on grass instead of a downhill cement path...duh!
We went to the Valleyfest celebration after the race and the kids checked out the booths and loved checking out the fire truck!
