Weekend

What a fun weekend!! Talia and I headed to Seattle to celebrate my step-mom, Brenda's retirement after 38 years as a flight attendant. On Saturday, we headed to the Evergreen State Fair and had so much fun! I thought Talia would be a little disappointed with fair rides after our recent trip to Disneyland, but she loved them all! She is a ride lover!! I was SO happy to have my first scone in years at the fair! The Spokane fair doesn't have scones (how lame is that?!) and my folks have been fabulous to either bring some over or mail them to me for about the last 12 years...but nothing compares to a hot scone at the fair!

The retirement party was so much fun! We had a great time chatting with so many people that we don't get to see very often...it was a lot of fun. I hate bragging about my kids...but this time I have to. Talia was the only child at the party and you would've thought she was one of the adults. She chatted it up with everyone...helped make drinks....handed out cupcakes, all without one indication that she was bored or anything. She was so social and interactive with everyone...it just warmed my heart to watch her work her "magic" personality on everyone.
Toby headed up to the cabin with Grandma and Grandpa for the weekend and after Grady was done with football...he headed up to relax for the last time before the crazy football season starts.
The Cougs didn't play so well this weekend...but, oh well. I am not too worried about it! Whether they are 0-10 or 10-0...I love the Cougs and will be there to support them!! Still a lot of games to play to improve!!
